Al-Qa’ida in the Land of the Two Niles (AQTN) was a Sudan-based terrorist organization that conspired to attack U.S., Western, and Sudanese targets. AQTN claimed responsibility for the January 2008 murders of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) diplomat John Granville and Sudanese USAID employee Abdelrahman Abbas Rahama.
